In a little over two weeks, I have lost 11 pounds. I have been tracking my calories on My Fitness Pal, and things have been going pretty well. Also, we don't have a lot of food right now- have to go grocery shopping.
Basically my menu looks like this
Cereal
Spaghetti with whole wheat pasta/no cheese (I KNOW! I'm dying, here)
Baked chicken with rice or baked potato
And that's about it.
I think that what really helps is that I changed my work schedule so I am not awake when Brian is not home. I work until 5 in the morning and sleep until about noon, then we have family time from noon til 4, in which I cook at home, then Drake goes down for a nap at 4, Brian goes to work, and I take a nap. Drake is down for the night by 7 pm, and I sleep from 7 until I work at 11.
Rinse and repeat.
I miss cheese.
But I love being 11 lbs lighter. I successfully hit my secret goal: Be down 10 lbs by my birthday. Now I am going to try for 15. Wish me luck!!

ReplyDeleteWay to go chika! Are we friends on MFP? I've been back on board w/ that service too lately and it's REALLY helping! Eating in helps A LOT. Last night was rough. My house had 3 sailors, 2 of which are leaving very soon for deployment. So they basically get whatever they want to eat. They all ordered pizza! I had only like 300 calories left, so that wasn't happening for me. Instead, I took the dog on a walk as soon as the pizza go there. By the time I came back, most of it was gone or not very appetizing, so I made salad and the last steak (with the help of George Foreman) in the fridge. Add 1/4 of an acorn squash and I think I had a better dinner (taste AND nurition-wise) than they did!
